📚 Sharing : Dream Making in Dream Taking World

    by Dr Steve Price

- Dreams are like oxygen, you cannot live without it.
- Dreams are first casualty in life; people give them up so easily and quickly for reality.
- Most of time, we are told how to dream but not how to handle the dream when facing challenges.
- How to handle the challenges is to have abundance of strategies to overcome the challenges.
- Life isn’t always fair.
- Instead of using hardship and setbacks to make excuses, use strategies to make dreams come true.
- Nothing happens unless we dream or think of it in our mind.
- Dreams are the blueprints for what we become, they are for everyone.
- Dream making involves work, sacrifice and discipline.
- Dreaming can “push the envelope of our expectations”.
- Dream is a mental movie that begins with what is and ends with what could be.

5 types of dreamers:
o Dream makers – people who dream then do whatever it takes to make it come true
o Dream bakers –people who keep dreaming, once accomplish one dream they dream more
o Dream fakers –people who say have dreams but don’t do anything to make it come true
o Dream undertakers –people who bury their dreams and rationalize that if you don’t dream, you can’t be disappointed if it doesn’t come true
o Dream takers –people who are toxic and think they can lift themselves up by tearing other people down and give all the reasons in the world why dreams won’t come true

Strategies to Overcome Obstacles and to Live the Dreams:
- Instead of lowering expectations, increase strategies.
o Great careers should fit into our life not the other way around
- Drop old losing strategy and pick up new, untested and unorthodox new winning strategy.
   (being adaptable and changing strategy)
o Our results are only as good as our strategies
o Dreaming to reduce stress in life is great dream but sitting in front the TV for hours snacking on junk food is bad strategy.
o Dreaming to retire early is great dream but buying lottery ticket is a bad strategy.
o Dreaming to make own decisions in life is great dream but trading time for money at nine-to-five jobs and building company owner’s dream is a bad strategy.
o Dreaming to enjoy comfortable life is great dream but increasing credit bills buying stuff that loses 90% value tomorrow is bad strategy.
at times what we see as setbacks in life might turn out to be blessings in disguise.
When things don't go as planned, be prepared to move in a different direction.
We must be wise enough to know the difference between the vehicle and the destination.
